At an altitude of 2,390 metres, the Vennspitze is a popular ski area overlooking the snow swathed mountains and the towering Cross that dominates the summit. Nestled in the Tux Alps, this winter tourist spot is avalanche safe and offers stunning vistas of Tyrolean Wipptal as well as the Olperer to the east. The summit to Vennspitze is most accessible from Padaun and throughout the route you will pass through meadows, streams, forestry, steep slopes and finally the wide Kar. In clear and safe weather conditions, you can ski past the north basin of Vennspitze to the summit and the northern slope in between Vennspitze and Paduner Berg.
