Lights Of The South Reviews & Ratings
Always enjoy seeing what's new every year. The kids absolutely love it to.
Light of the South is fun the first time you go, but doesn't offer anything new each subsequent year. Our son enjoys it a lot, so the pleasure we derive is from seeing him enjoy himself. It's somewhat overpriced, especially the food, but our boy loved it. We will be back, but hopefully new displays will be incorporated in the future.
Loved it. This is a fun place to go with or without the kids. We have been by ourselves and with the family. They have great food and hot cocoa. You can make s'mores by the fire pit. We walked the trail and road through on the trailer. It was great both ways.
Service at Mrs Claus's kitchen was outstanding! Quick to get orders placed and correct the first time. Very friendly staff even with the large crowd. Hot chocolate is some of the best I have had. Wait times were not bad for the amount of people in line not only at the restaurant but also at the light ride, maze, and Santa's workshop. Light displays were creatively beautiful with a wide range of scenes varying for all different age groups. Pictures with Santa turned out perfect and the staff were quick on their feet and very helpful. The only complaint we had is how muddy the ground was in the maze and pathways connecting the different buildings as well as the parking lot. Glad I wore boots but felt sorry for those who wore nice shoes! If they were able to lay out gravel our experience would have been near perfect! Definitely recommend this wonderful holiday hot spot!
It has been years since I have attended Lights of the South as my daughter got less and less interested. However, I have gotten married, had a little one and have two younger "bonus" sons, so we thought we'd give it a try as a family. Many of the set ups were not working right(bulbs blew I'm guessing), the ride was the only way to view the lights as it has been a rainy season so the walking trail was closed. To pay $70 to ride through a barely lit light exhibit, is a bit steep.
