Estadio Jalisco is the third largest football stadium in Mexico. Although built in 1952, the stadium was opened to the public only after 1960. It holds a maximum capacity of 54,963 spectators. The stadium is home ground to Club Atlas and Club Universidad de Guadalajara. It has hosted the FIFA World Cup Tournaments of 1970 and 1986. The stadium has undergone renovation and expansion quite a number of times in the past few years. The stadium is abuzz with excitement and cheering during a football game.
