Lianhua Mountain

Currently Open

Overlooking the Shizi Ocean and the Pearl River, the Lianhua Mountain rises up to 108 meters and has forty-eight red hills standing like sentinels. The mountain derived its name as Lotus Mountain owing to a lotus (lianhua) shaped rock on top of the Pofu peak. Once this pristine place was a large quarry, however in the course of time, the landscaped gardens and parks have been dominating the area making it a popular tourist spot. The Lianhua Tower is also visible from the park which offers activities like Barbeque picnicking, camping, fishing and horseback riding. Visit the Lianhua Mountain during the annual Lotus festival when over one lakh native and exotic lotus flowers are in full bloom beneath the Bodhisattva Guanyin statue.
