Church Of Our Lady Immaculate Reviews & Ratings

  • Beautiful, huge church. The Monsignor is a very nice man. Saw both my niece and nephew get baptized here, and my nephew get his first communion. Unfortunately, my sister's funeral was also here, so I honestly hope I never have to return.

  • The Basilica is a true jewel of architecture, stained glass windows, rose windows, statues and atmosphere. The wedding mass was full of the traditional Catholic rituals and the pipe organ added a mystical quality to the ceremony. Lots of parking and easy to access from the back street.

  • A gorgeous surprise! We had some time to kill between appointments. As out-of-towners, we were looking for something to do and thought it strange that this Basilica was a top Guelph attraction. It was close to us, so what the heck. The architecture was engrossing. We grabbed one of the self-guided tour folders and walked around looking at the beautiful stained glass, artwork, furniture, and all the church fittings. We got so keenly interested that we ran out of time and had to leave. Highly recommended for history, art, and architecture fans.

  • Built in 1876, this is a National Historic Site in Canada. Steps leading up are wide and were dry and well-maintained. Excellent architectural guide at entrance available plus free brochure. Easy self-directed tour. Visited in afternoon while choir rehearsing. Magic to hear the voices.

  • We had a wonderful fair well for Monsieur Dennis Noon The quire was exceptional. There was regular hutch organist but they invited exras, like the flute player and an alto.A wonderful fare well with a surprise anouncment of a plack mounted in the Basilica in his honor.Great experience.
