The Durga Devi Temple in the Ratnagiri District is revered as the temple of the Kuldevi by the local families in the Konkan region. The temple complex is surrounded by greenery of the Warla Pat and overlooks the Arabian Sea. The main deity of Durga Devi Temple is the Mahishasur Mardini or Devi Durga. The temple is open throughout the year, however, it gains the most number of visitors during the Navratri celebration inside the temple. You will find the lake and a wooden pillar around the complex along with four temples dedicated to the subordinate deities namely the Sun God, Lord Ganesha, Lord Shiva and Goddess Laxmi. The temple with Panchayatan styled shrines is considered as one of the oldest temples in the region.
