Built on the site of mansion of the Prince Jingjiang of the Ming Dynasty, this is one of the most sought-after tourist spots in Guilin. This scenic area is also home to the authentic work of the inscription "Guilin's Scenery” ranks first in the World and represents culture and history of Guilin.

The mansion has served as a residence for 14 regional princes and 12 generations of Ming dynasty in 257 years of its operation and has a history older than the forbidden city of China. During the reign of Qing Dynasty, it served as the imperial examination hall and was a base camp of Sun Yat-sen's during his north expedition. Today, it is a part of the campus of Guangxi Normal University. 

There are beautiful places to visit inside the Jingjiang Wangcheng City like Chengyun (Be Ordained by Heaven) Gate, Chengyun Hall, Bedchamber, Ancestral Temple, The Altar of the Earth and Harvests, pavilions, terraces and towers. The entire city has huge building complexes typically decorated in red and yellow tiles. The prince city is guarded by enormous walls adorned by green stones in square shape. The city has four gates in the eastern, western, northern and southern sides namely Tiren (Donghua Gate), Duanli (Zhengyang Gate), Zunyi (Xihua Gate) and Guangzhi (Hougong Gate) respectively.
