The Moon Hill derived its name from the north to south penetration at the hilltop that looks exactly like a bright moon. The moon formation on the hill changes from full moon to new moon and old moon with the reference of the hill behind it. Standing 230 metres tall at the backdrop of the Licun Village, the hill can be best explored via the nature trail through the village that will take you to the Moon Palace. Inside the Moon Palace, you will find the beautiful stalactites hanging from the smooth walls like chandeliers. Visit Moon Hill during the Mid-Autumn Festival to see the lamps made of grapefruits floating on the river.
