  • Very big museum nicely located opposite zoo. Nice place. Needed to be preserved more carefully all specimens

  • A very educative place containing a lot of history of Assam. Earmark at least two hours of your time. The entry fee is very reasonable.

  • A must place to visit for tourists. It will help you to know more about the Assamese culture and in general that of North East. Entry fees is less that 10 minutes. You should spend at least 1-1.5 hours to properly see the museum.

  • This is the best place to gather some knowledge about northeast culture and society, but the problem is the place is lack of proper guidance for tourist and anyone new find difficult to find everything. Apart from that you will enjoy spending time in various sculptures, dresses, art and coins from ancient times. The entry fee is also minimal compare to other museums across India.

  • It is quite a great place to bring the young ones. I gives us the inside idea of how our culture used to be back in those days. This museum not only has the things that are from our culture but also has coins from mughals terracotta sample from the great Indus valley civilization. It is not only a great place to visit for the kids but also adults. I was so intrigued by visiting the place and getting to see our past was so mesmerizing for me and gave me a short of pride to me too. I would recommend everyone to atleast visit this place ones.
