Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra - Review

Named after the reformer and poet-playwright of Assam, this is a cultural institution conceived to nurture and promote the art in Assam. It includes a cultural museum, a library and a children’s recreational park. The open theatres have sprawling performances running all the time and can be enjoyed free of cost.

The cable car inside the place is matter of attraction and offers the view of the overlooking hill. The Lalit kala bhavan displays a world class exhibition of art and sculptures and the heritage park demands a walk for the overall experience.

Can be visited once but not on the top slot of travel itenerary. Choose either Assam museum or this place. If already visited one of them, skip other.
