Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra, Guwahati Reviews

  • Nice place for everyone Old young generations etc beautiful place to hang out ....there are all traditional of dress of Assam .. they have kept our Indian culture alive... Feels good to see ....History of Assam is shown here,,, People from all over country comes to visit.... everything is fine but there is one complain that keep the place clean because it is very beautiful and history alive place......other than its a very fantastic place....there are charges for video and still camera...still camera charges 10 Rs and video charges 100.. Its has a heritage park and also has a museum were all historical and old things of assam are shown ....This place boats of rich and diverse culture of Assam through it's display of art and scriptures. It is a place of artists. Located within city. Has parking facility. A visitor must visit this place...This is a place that portrays the culture of North East India. There are stages set up here which are probably used for performances. We visited the several galleries which houses the artifacts portraying the art and culture of North East India. You really get a very deep insight into the life style of North East Indians. Their traditional clothing, musical instruments, dance forms, musical instruments, model of houses used by them, coins of ancient and medieval period etc. are on display. Each of the seven states of North East India is given equal prominence and covered in this place.

  • This is a must visit place for a tourist If anyone wants to know about Assam they can have first hand knowledge of diversified rich cultural heritage history art and culture in one place. Here many cultural events are organised round the year to make visit interesting Children would definitely enjoy the visit and learn about Assam I have visited many times with our friends coming from other parts of the country

  • Good place to hangout as the environment there is very silent and peaceful... You can feel the cold breeze there anytime... With the forest covers and green trees I feel great to spend my time there and relax when I'm in stress

  • Cultural centre and a good outdoor place for children. There is a museum, garden and various kinds of events and cultural activities take place almost every day. The restaurants and coffee kiosks are very basic. No good cup to tea or coffee.

  • Mirror of rich culture of Assam was constructed by Government according to the famous Assam Accord. Nice place where the various cultures of Assam are interpreted. A cultural museum is available here. Sky train is so nice and loved by the kids. The whole place is so beautiful and a place of interest for both national and international tourists. But now the place is not maintained properly and needs more interest of the authority to improve the place.
