Sung Sot Cave - Review
Sung Sot Cave is situated in the centre of the Surprise and is a great spectacle for anyone that visits it. The cave is picturesque and sees a lot of tourists all year round. So if you are someone who loves a bit of adventure then this place is the perfect fit for you. There are many stalactites that hang from the walls of the cave and give the place a beautiful form and shape. The caves look splendid and the deepest point in the chamber has garden that is spectacular. There is also a pond and small mountains covering it.

Sung Sot Cave, Ha Long Bay Reviews
The management at this cave has done a great job of curating the experience but still allowing visitors to appreciate the natural beauty. The path is one way throughout the cave but goes up and down enough that it never feels crowded. Stairs are in good repair, but there are a lot of them! 500 steps in all.
Apart from the squadrons and squadrons of boats bringing hoards and hoards of visitors this place is a must see for anyone visiting anywhere close to the area. Wont give away too much . but.. I am from New Zealand and we have plenty of caves and beautiful islands. This cave is where movies are shot..or so it seems. Its more than we expected or imagined!! You half expect a dragon to come out at you from one of the crevices. See it for yourself soon, as with the new pathways and lighting supplied by the government this place will only grow in popularity.
Everyone visiting halong bay must visit sung sot caves, they're the largest in the world and thanks to Vietnam tourism, it is a safe cave to visit as well. It is not recommended for people who are claustrophobic and people who have issues climbing up stairs. Proper sport shoes are recommended for visiting the caves as it involves a lot of climbing up and down steps. It is absolutely safe with railings everywhere, people can hold onto the for support. From the inside it is breathtakingly beautiful, all the climbing is worth the visit.
Spacious, airy, stairs not too steep, and full of mystified natural sculptures. If I heard my tour guide correctly, this is the lair of the dragons (and you can see one of the dragons in it. Remember, it's highly mystified...) This place is a nice one though, albeit heavily commercialised. The govt built some nice and even sidewalks and stairs in the cave. Also, there is a shop selling modern products on the way out.
Normally 5 stars. Amazing cave and the location is wonderful. -2 stars for the tourists. They put like thousands of tourists in the cave. It's like Saigon rush hour whole day there.
