Mallertshofer See is a lake tourist attraction in Oberschleißheim, Germany. The lake is a 5.6 acre quarry lake in the district of Munich. It is located 13 km north of the historic center of Munich and on the border of the nature reserve Mallertshofer wood. Mallertshofer See has no superficial inflow or outflow but the lake is fed mostly by the precipitation and penetrating groundwater. Up untill the 20th century, the lake area was agricultural land from 1995 it was rededicated to serve as a nature reserve.
