Kamei Katsuichiro was a noted writer, thinker, and critic during the early 20th century. He wrote nonfictional books, biographies and also books that studied and explained the history of the Japanese etiquettes. The literature monument pays tribute to the iconic writer and all his famous works- some of them include “Human Education”, “Natural features and Old Temples in Yamato” and “A study of the history of Japanese Ethic”.
Located in AoyahIco, the humble monument consists of a rock with an inscription. Even though the monument is quite understated, it is worth a quick pit-stop during a casual stroll through the city.
