  • There are two things that make this hotel great: the view of Mount Fuji and the breakfast and dinner buffet. Both are superb and beyond anything else I encountered in Japan. Fuji is visible from both the hot springs and the gardens, and the view is probably one of the best you'll find. There's a clear line of sight and you're high enough up that it's not blocked by surrounding mountains. The buffet was also delicious, varied and really well made. Top quality. The rooms are a bit dated and could use some refreshing, but honestly the view alone is worth it.

  • Very comfortable stay. Rooms are clean and service is prompt. Buffet breakfast and dinner offers a great variety of Japanese food that doesn't bore the palate. The view of Mount Fuji is amazing. You can see it from the outdoor onsen too.

  • You can see Mt. Fuji while taking hot spring. It's really relaxing. If I had enough time I'd like to stay longer time. Just need to notice the public pool opened time.

  • Pretty big hotel, good buffet for both breakfast and dinner. There were a lot of guests staying at the hotel so the onsen was always crowded (especially the side which you can see Mount Fuji). Lots of babies and kids going into the hotspring so I wonder about the cleanliness of the water. This may be common in Japan to bring small kids to the onsen but kids and babies (and I am talking about kids under a year old) are probably not potty trained and hence, how can they prevent kids from peeing in the pool? Hotel is somewhat dated so should have a renovation soon. Location was good as it was close to one of the ropeway stops.

  • The hotel is located near the top of a hill deep in the mountains of Hakone, almost right beside the Ubako ropeway station, if you travel up that way. The hotel itself is quite dated, apparent throughout the hotel and in the rooms. The outdoor bath with view of mount Fuji is its biggest selling point. However, the mens bath is fairly snall, and the spectacular view is confined to a corner of the pool. My wife says the female bath has better views. There is also an outdoor terrace with another excellent view of mount Fuji. The hotel itself I would give 3 stars, but the dinner buffer had good variety including crab legs and sashimi, and for that I give it another star.
