Haleakala Visitor Centre Reviews & Ratings
Out of this world! The landscape is like an alien planet. The plants and wildlife are so delicate that a foreign species can wipe them out since they have not developed defense mechanisms. Truly a gem of a park. Be confident in your driving when going up the mountain and watch out for cows and Nene's!
It's AMAZING. This park gives you the feel of being above the clouds. Besides, it has an astounding picture atmosphere. When you have the chance to see the stars it beautiful. We loved the sunrise from up there so much that we came back to see the sunset. It's must see spot if you're visiting Maui. Five Stars: 🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺
Pretty cool part of Maui! Doesn’t have that island feel when you’re up that high! Sadly we didn’t see much the two times we went up there, due to strong fog. But it is usually clear early in the morning. But you may have to reserve a spot to do so. May not be worth going if you don’t have much time in Maui, and CAN’T make it early morning.
This is a cool stop on you way to the top. There are nice souvenirs inside the gift shop. There are some items to view and learning experiences offered about the park. Excellent panoramic views and awesome feeling to be above the cloud line once you get to the top. It was a bit chilly, even for a summer day due to the high altitude.
It's a great educational park full of endangered species of plant and animals. What makes it cool is that it's the only place on earth to drive from sea level to 10000 feet above sea level in approximately 2 hours. It was great to be above the clouds...
