Running along the Waimea River from the Waimea Falls to the Waimea Valley, the kid-friendly and wheelchair friendly hiking trail is named as Waimea Valley Trail and it acts not only as a backpacking getaway but also as a scenic and educational hiking trail. Accessible year round, the Waimea Valley Trail spans around two miles along the North Shore of Oahu. Walking or hiking along this paved path through the botanical garden will let you have an insight of the Hawaiian culture and history. The highlight of the trail is the natural swimming pool which is never too crowded, and you will get life jackets too. If you are not swimming, then sit back at the auditorium. For more thrill, explore the Waimea Bay to enjoy snorkelling, scuba diving, rock climbing and cliff jumping.
