Hamburger Kunsthalle, Hamburg Reviews - Write a Review
Really impressive building on the outside. When I was there they had a very interesting photography exhibition inside about refugees which was free. Definitely with stepping inside to take a look.
See this if you are in Hamburg. Both old masters and modern art here. And, you can Hamburg's young people enjoying this public space as well if the weather's good.
Great museum! I think the exhibition is well made in terms of composition. Spent there 2 hours but would mind spending more if it wasn't for the fact that it closed at 18
We spent the afternoon here since it was raining. Easy to spend hours looking through the different exhibits. The only one we didn't get to was the contemporary wing. There was an educational write up in a good number of rooms that explained the type of artwork in that room. My only real complaint is that the guy at the ticket counter seemed less than enthused to be working and wasn't very friendly.
It's been refurbished and it's a great experience to stroll there especially if you like Caspar David Friedrich.
