St Michaels Church - Review
The prominent spire of this church is the most recognizable sight in the Hamoburg skyline. The church is Lutheran and is also the largest in the city, with a seating capacity fo 2500. Hamburgers call it Michel. Beautiful, classical and old as anything, the must do things in the church include taking the elevator to the top of the tower, visiting the catacombs, and a long look at the Baroque interiors. Also, visit the popular attractions in the city by following Hamburg itinerary 1 day.

St Michaels Church, Hamburg Reviews
Cool historical place. You can climb up to a platform on the tower (or us an elevator) for an amazing view over the entire city. Costs are 5€ for adults and 3,50€ for children. Also very new looking church which you can see for free. Worth a visit!
What a stunning church inside. Well worth spending time viewing As for the tower...take the lift up. All those stairs. Its never ending. Make sure you go on a clear day We went when it was raining so didnt see much across the city.
Go up the tower during sunset hour! I went there around 7pm in early September and the sky was a beautiful shade of pink and orange over the city! I wish they don’t have iron bars around but oh well! Still beautiful pictures!
Beautiful church perfect for spending a couple hours on a rainy day like I did. Admission is reasonable. I was lucky enough to be there when they were tuning the organ and got to hear a couple songs. From the top you can also see most of Hamburg and all the main sites. Great place for a picture.
Very lovely church and amazing view at the top. Unless you are up for a little hike please take the elevator. 😁
