Beautiful and lavish from both the inside and the outside, the Town house of Hamburg is photgraphers favorite. There’s not much to do inside, but the it’s a pleasnt place to walk to , rest and looka around as you munch on a snack. It was built in order t commemorate the wealth of the Old Prussan Kingdom and to represent the hopes of the fledgling German empire. It’s in the middle of the city and so very easily accessible. Inside there are always osme exhibitions or the other happening, so pop in to check them out. • Another example in Northern Europe where the main building in the main square is not a church but a public building. The renaissance architecture is impressive but the vaulted ceilings inside are the highlight for me. Clean lines and classy in white, it makes the interior brighter and regal at the same time. Just off this is an inner courtyard with a fountain that looks like it can host high class events in cozy intimate settings amidst great architecture.

  • If I remember correctly, the statues on the front are previous mayors. You can simply go inside and get a coffee. There is a courtyard with a wonderful fountain filled with statues.

  • Spend some time here looking at the detail in the building and reading the plaques about its history.

  • Beautiful architecture. Photographer’s delight!

  • Beautiful arquitectura and surrounding area.
