Hornborgs slottsruin are ruins of the great Hornborgs Castle which was once a seat of great strategic importance. The city was in its full glory during 1450 -1530 , and items supporting that fact were excavated in 1900. The castle lost its strategic importance when Bohuslän became Swedish in 1658. Now, only ruins remain, but the view is spectacular from here. The Skagerrak Sea look magnificent, and the warm sea breeze adds to the charm of the place.
