Brown Dog Coffee Shoppe, Hamilton Reviews - Write a Review
Just came in to buy apple fritters and apple cider and it surpassed my expectations!! Apple Cider was authentic and not like a powder version you get at Starbucks thats for sure. I can taste the spices and real apples in the drink. The apple fritters are a gem. They remind me of the apple fritters I used to get at St. Jacob's Market and so glad I don't have to drive far to get them now. Highly recommend this place and will return to try other items.
Wonderful experience. Apple fritters and a green tea. Great friends. Truly a lovely evening. Staff are happy and helpful.
Great spacious area to read, work, blog, schoolwork etc. I've been here several times and would recommend the apple fritters and warm cider. They have a variety of treats - and most recently liquor. I like the "church" atmosphere this cafe brings. There are also spots to sit outside.
I would have given 5 stars, but the apple fritter fryer was down and they weren't able to make what we came for. But any other time it's 5 stars.
I come here a lot to hang out with friends. The coffee and smoothies here are pretty good. Some of the menu items are pretty pricey and I haven't tried many of them so I can't speak to their quality. The fritters and the hot apple cider here are absolutely delicious and very addictive. I highly recommend the fritters especially if you're coming here for the first time. There's usually plenty of room here too, especially on weekdays. I do wish there was better lighting upstairs though because it can be very hard to see your papers when you're doing work or doing some reading.
