I come here a lot to hang out with friends. The coffee and smoothies here are pretty good. Some of the menu items are pretty pricey and I haven't tried many of them so I can't speak to their quality. The fritters and the hot apple cider here are absolutely delicious and very addictive. I highly recommend the fritters especially if you're coming here for the first time. There's usually plenty of room here too, especially on weekdays. I do wish there was better lighting upstairs though because it can be very hard to see your papers when you're doing work or doing some reading.
The atmosphere is very unique, comforting and spacious. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food... made with love. Every single dish that came out was picture perfect. If you go you MUST try the fritters. They're the best! We've been twice, here are our pics....
Second time here, beverages been very good. Can customize each. The staff allowed me to add an espresso shot to my iced coffee. Lots of sitting space, many tables. Food is very clean and fresh. Overall my 2 experiences have been great.
I found that this place was essential when I was studying for school. I had good coffee, it was quiet and subdued for most of the time I spent here, and I really appreciated the cathedral style loft up top where you could look down and people watch as a distraction from the studies. My only concern had been related to one occurrence where some sort of musical troupe started to play music in the mid afternoon to late evening, which I found very disruptive to conversations. This was not a live event or musical performance, just a group of people who decided to start playing in the middle of a coffee shop, which I don't feel was appropriate.
Easily the best apple fritters I've ever tasted! Prices are reasonable and the space is well-lit and clean. The coffee was also great and they had a good selection of flavors. I highly recommend stopping here if you're in town.
