The Vijaya Vittala Temple is the most beautiful attraction of Hampi. The beauty of this temple is beyond words. The temple is built as a huge campus and consists of many halls, rooms, pavilions and towers. Every inch of this temple is exquisitely carved and has a wooden finish.
The prime deity of this temple is Lord Vittala, which is an avatar of Lord Vishnu. Vishnu is worshipped in this part as Vittala which is their cult deity. The temple was originally built in the 15th century and since then many successive kings have contributed in reforming the temple. You can also find a few remains of a village named as Vittalapura that was situated around this temple.
The highlights of this temple are the pillared halls and the stone chariot. This chariot is one of the iconic structures of Hampi.
