The Basing House in Old Basing, England is a large museum which is also a 16th century Tudor Castle. Long ago, it stood as giant castle in the village of Old Basing in the Hampshire English County. In the present day, only its foundations and earthwork remain. The Basing House dates back to the Norman period and was once visited by Henry the VII and besieged by Cromwell, so there is plenty of historical relevance and splendor here. There’s a Visitor Centre, and also near its entrance is a gift shop as well as shop for light refreshments. Now visitors can download the Basing House audio tour on their smart phones or MP3 player from the official website.
