Your love for sun and sand will get a new meaning once you park yourself at the Polihale State Park. It is basically a beach park where you can emerge in fun coastline activities. The sand beach is stunning. It is clean and long and has occasional sand dunes. If you are in a mood to relax only, then also this spot is ideal. You will be charmed by witnessing the magical sunset from this place. Watching the colourful coastal setting is a treat to the eyes. If you are visiting the place in summer, then a swimming session would refresh your body and mind. For picnicking and camping also, the very coastal spot is perfect.

Polihale State Park Reviews & Ratings
We went to Polihale State Park twice on our stay in Kauai. Please understand that the road to this beach is about 5 miles long and very rough. We rented a Jeep for our vacation and we had no trouble but it makes for a very bumpy ride. The beach itself is very beautiful. The water here is very rough and not ideal for swimming but the sunsets here are one of a kind.
Absolutely beautiful beach. It's a long drive over dirt roads for the last few miles and right before reaching the parking area the sand gets very deep. Cars regularly get stuck there. Hug the right side of the road and keep your vehicle moving forward and you should make it through just fine.
This is the best place I have ever camped. There's plenty of hiking and biking and the best part was the gorgeous beach, framed by impressive mountains. Definitely ask a local about the native legends in this spot.
Amazing place! It's a very beautiful beach, great to chill, swim and watch the sunset. A part of the road to get there is mostly rocks and dirt but it's totally worth it. I recommend to check your step tire and tools before going, just in case you get a flat tire like we did.
End of the road, great views but rough beach conditions. No services except for public bathroom and shower at camp sites. Must travel a long rough dirt road to access. If you want to be alone go here.
