Hoan Kiem Lake, Hanoi Reviews - Write a Review

  • If you enjoy having a good laugh and walk, this is definitely the best place to do your morning walk before breakfast. You will see many interesting characters and methods of exercising here. Sunrise is beautiful here, so catch it before it gets busy so you won't get your photo disrupted!

  • This is one of those required places to go when you visit Hanoi. It is pretty, and there's a lot of fun energy in the air on the weekends, what with thousands of locals and foreigners just enjoying themselves walking around the lake, looking at the bright lights, eating ice cream, and watching street performers. It can be a tourist trap though, so watch your purse, and be aware of your surroundings. If you are obviously foreign, English students may come up to you and ask to practice their English with you. If you don't want to talk to them, just be polite and say, "No, thank you," or, "Sorry, I'm busy." They'll go away.

  • Beautiful views under natural light, spectacularly romantic at dusk under the bulb lights. The architecture of adjacent buildings adds flavour to the general beauty. If you visit Hanoi and fail to see this, then your trip doesn't count.

  • A good place to unwind and observe the Vietnamese Life at the heart of the capital through leisure walking. If you are visiting Hanoi for a short time and want to have a glimpse of Vietnam, would recommend to visit the same.

  • Lovely iconic lake where many people like to hang out especially locals. Locals dance, exercise, stroll, fish, date there. A lively place.
