Mukuvisi Woodlands, Harare Reviews
Nice, relaxed place on the edge of town but easy to find. Pleasant way to spend 3-4 hours, with a combination of walking along woodland footpaths, animal spotting along the way and from the viewing platform (2pm best time to see giraffe, zebra when we were there) and a light lunch (burgers, sandwiches etc) in the cafe. Very helpful staff at front reception. Entry fee was $6 for viewing + walks.
Great place to relax and have the kids see wildlife without traveling out of the city. However, the activities are a bit limited so you may want to have other things lined up for the day as you won't spend more than 1 hour before you have seen it all. Unless you choose to take a horseback tour of the bush area, worth the while. Mountain bike trails are also one way of lengthening your time at the place. But overall a good place to relax.
Such a great resource but totally underutilized...we basically had it to ourselves. Watched the giraffes come over across the plain while sitting in the coolness of the hide, wonderful birdlife, & at 35$ for a year's family pass, it's pretty good value.
It's a good woody place full of animals such as zebra giraffe etc
I love Mukuvisi, great picnic spots, horse riding for the adults and kids and my favourite the nature walk in the wild, lots of animals to see. Has an out of town feel in town. Must visit!
