Mansa Devi Temple - Review

Atop an enthralling hill of Bilwa Parvat stands this one of the oldest holy places of the town. The temple dedicated to Mansa Devi, this temple is always flodded with tourists from all over the world. Renowned for a wish-fulfilling temple, the temple has two idols of the presiding deity, one with three mouths and five arms and the other with eight arms. One of the major Siddh peethas in India, this temple is the apex of Siddh peetha triangle, which is formed by the trio of Mansa Devi, Maya Devi and Chandi Devi.

Mansa Devi Temple, Haridwar Reviews

  • We went to the top by foot. It took around 30-40 minutes. The road was beautiful. I would suggest people to take the road if they are sturdy enough. Otherwise the cable car facility is also reasonably priced. The temple was too crowded and people were impatient and chaotic. The shopkeepers were creating even more noise. I personally couldn't feel any sort of devotion.

  • Beautiful Hill top Temple. One can view hardware city's surrounding clearly. You can also climb temple by trek or can take ropeway experience Divine.

  • Beautiful temple.... But bit crowded in vacations. There are three ways to reach at the top - by foot , by trolley and by your motorcycle. It will take you at least 30 minutes to go by foot and few minutes by trolley ( flying machine). There are many sitting room to relax while walking along the way. There are many small shops selling various foodstuffs in the way.

  • Beautiful Temple however its usually crowded over weekends. No matter if its summers or winters there is crowd always. The best and easy way to reach here is buy the Combined Ticket for 'UdanKhatola' :)

  • There is a cable car available to take you to the top. The queue is very long here as well and have to wait for your turn. But if you don't mind walking then there is also a paved way to the temple. It's a long walk but all worth it on the end. The view is stunning from the top.
