Mansa Devi Temple - Review
Atop an enthralling hill of Bilwa Parvat stands this one of the oldest holy places of the town. The temple dedicated to Mansa Devi, this temple is always flodded with tourists from all over the world. Renowned for a wish-fulfilling temple, the temple has two idols of the presiding deity, one with three mouths and five arms and the other with eight arms. One of the major Siddh peethas in India, this temple is the apex of Siddh peetha triangle, which is formed by the trio of Mansa Devi, Maya Devi and Chandi Devi.
The pretty idol of the Mansa Devi is adorned with beautiful jewels and flowers during the Pooja.
One of the famous rituals performed by the devotees visiting the temple is to tie holy threads to the sacred tree, which is believed to fulfill wishes of devotees. Once the wishes are fulfilled, devotees need to untie the holy thread.
Apart from being a holy shrine, the temple is also a famous tourist destination. The walls of the temple are beautifully adorned with paintings of shrines. This particular architectural beauty of the temple comes from Shivalik background as well.
The cable cars, which are popularly known as 'Devi Udankhatola' are also a tourist attraction. The cable car carries tourists from the lower station up to the temple. The ropeway, which is used by the cable cars, is located at a height of 178 m from the ground.

Mansa Devi Temple, Haridwar Reviews
Amazing place....visit to feel for natural beauty... In rainy season you will experience the cloud formation live... Must visit ... Rope way is also available.... But if you are fit.. I will suggest to choose stairs.. because you will get natural scene ..
Heavy rush when I went to this temple and it is very much crowded with devotees. This temple is situated on a hill where you have to go by rope way which is quite exciting and the function and maintenance of rope way is well maintained. The scenery from the top of hill is great as you can see the river Ganga flowing from temples surrounded and house in between. Best time to visit is in any month but not in winter season as this place will have extreme climatic conditions.
The pic shows the sanctum santorum of the temple. Mansa Devi Mandir is situated near the banks of Ganges at Haridwar. To reach this place you have got two options first one is the cable car and second one is by road. The round trip of a cable car costs around 100 rupees and you could also go by road then you have to travel a distance of 1.55 km for a single trip. However there is a waiting period of 1.5 hours for the cable car so it is advisable that you take the road. you can hire a bike with a pillion rider to ascend the height. It takes around 20 minutes by road to reach the main temple. It is advisable that you don't give your slippers to the shop keepers, otherwise you have to, out of generosity, have to buy the offerings from there. Use the free facility inside the main temple. Since the temple is situated on a hill. You will feel nauseated or out of breathe. Keep this in mind. During ascend , you can find numerous shops which offers Fruit Salad, Lemonade etc. at a very cheap price. Visit once for a nice spiritual experience.
I lovvvvvvvve this temple and it's location so much. When I was here, feeling lucky to myself. It's approx 2 km far from ground so you can enjoy everything during pedestrian travel. Keep an eye on your bag and pockets while you're going upwards and coming downward. Do not leave your shoes near any shop on the road just start and finish when you reach the temple.
A very spiritual place. It has a very heavenly ambience and when you are there you go directly into the arms of nature. I consider myself highly lucky that I got a chance to visit this heavenly place.
