Harissa has a Mediterranean climate with very mild winters and warm to hot summers. Majority of the rainfall received by Harissa is in the winter months. The average annual temperature is around 18 degree Celsius.
Winter: December to March are the coldest months of the year with temperatures ranging around 10 – 11 degree Celsius. The weather is very mild, but rainfall levels are very high.
Spring: April and May sees a slight increase in the temperature and reduction in the precipitation levels. Temperatures usually range around 17 – 18 degree Celsius.
Summer: The months of June to September are the warmest months of the year. The temperatures are usually around 22 – 23 degree Celsius. Rainfall is almost negligible during these months, but the weather is not very hot apart from a few days.
Autumn: Rainfall levels start increasing again with October and November and the temperature decreases to around 15 degree Celsius.
Harissa is very popular for a shrine dedicated to Our Lady of Lebanon. If the main reason for your visit is this shrine then Harissa can be visited anytime of the year. Usually June to August is considered to be the peak season and the prices and number of people visiting is very high.
