The Harkers Island Visitor Center is a modern visitor’s center located on the Eastern end of Harkers Island in North Carolina, United States. It’s also the place where you can get the ferry to the lighthouse. The Harkers Island Visitor Center is a lovely area with great scenery to enjoy and take pictures. The Visitor Center features exhibits of island history and ecology, interactive map of the park, the Discovery Room with sounds of the seashore game, as well as a touch table along with other child friendly activities. Visitors are advised to watch the film at the Visitor’s center which is very informational. There are Ranger programs, free Junior Ranger and Junior Ranger Adventures activity guides.
