Within 54 acres of Texas Ebony forestry, the Hugh Ramsey Nature Park sprawls along the Arryo Colorado and features a number of gardens, nature trails and biodiversity. Often acting as the planned “getaway” to the World Birding Center, the Hugh Ramsey Nature Park is laden with Texas Ebony, Honey Mesquite, Acacia, Desert Hackberry and Retama. While entering the Hugh Ramsey Nature Park, you will notice the Butterfly Garden through which the extensive trails meander about while being interconnected. The trail along the river is the most scenic one and has reedbeds lining the creek.

Hugh Ramsey Nature Park Reviews & Ratings
This please is beautiful ❤️ it has so many different areas and trails full of different animal species. Parking is spacious enough, its never full. They have restrooms but they do need to stock up in soap and hand towels/ toilet paper, other than that the RR are clean. They need to add several shaded stops, most stops are in the open no shade. Maybe add 2 or 3 water station on the trail to sip or refill. I recommend this nature site for day walks/runs or nature sitings👌
I've come to understand nature now after I have visited this place a few times. I get lost out here in a good way. I am really glad it is free even if they charged I would still go. There are so many spots to read, bird watch and just enjoy nature. The ponds are really nice and the trails are well kept. Almost every time I go I pick up litter we have to do our part it is free you now. Thanks again for giving us a place to unwind.
It is so clean, well kept, not trashy, hope others that visit keep it that way. A lot of birds to view and enjoy.
Gotta love this place. So much to see and the trails are great. Just avoid the men's room. There's a whole lot of pervs that hang around there.
Such a wonderful place for a morning jog. The little critters are adorable, the birds are beautiful, and the aroma of bring in nature smells wonderful. There are several ponds, the Rio Grande River, several rest areas and just so much in this little nature is. So, so peaceful and beautiful!
