The Lewis and Clark Confluence Tower is a tower located in Madison County, Illinois. The tower is 180 foot tall and is at the confluence of the Mississippi River. Visitors can ride the elevator up to three observation platforms, located at different heights, so that there are multiple views. There’s an entrance fee for adults and children. A tour guide will take you to all the points of interest including downtown St. Louis and the Alton Bridge. There’s also a small visitor’s center where you can view maps as well as informational videos. A visit to the tower barely takes twenty minutes or so, but it is worth travelling to the top for the panoramic view.
