Quite apt to its name the market actually floats atop small boats on water. The Floating Market is located in Khlong Hae a bit away from hat yai city. It’s a nice place to rub shoulders with the locals and test your bargaining skills. A place where you get all sorts of fruits vegetables, flowers and even some of the weirdest non vegetarian foods like earthworms. You can try them if you have the stomach for it. Instead of plastic bags and cups the vendors use organic products like bamboo boxes and clay pots which adds a nice flavour to the place. Also, visit the popular attractions in the city by following Hat Yai itinerary 3 days.

  • A popular place of visit by locals and particularly Malaysians. It's not a natural floating market. It was constructed as a commercial place of attraction. Nevertheless for those who like a place to pass time and those who haven't been to a floating market it's still interesting with some food sold from little boats. There is an array of shops selling local foodstuffs and goods. The only drawback is that the water of the canal is reasonably dirty. It's okay as long as you don't call into it.

  • I thought I have to be on boat to buy or wander around but its not. You can buy just from river side. Other than that, great place to get local dishes and shopping.

  • It's pack of people. The foods here are great. The coffee and tea are awesome. But the Asian market still have more choices of foods and clothes and others too

  • It's getting crowder when evening. Most seller is friendly to tourist thus make me able to negotiate the price. I experience a nice evening here
