One of Havana’s best landmarks is the bar named El Floridita. Established in 1817, the bar has served some of the most famous personalities in Cuba. From the middle of the 19th century, it gained prominence as one of the most famous bars in the world. The frozen daiquiri was invented in this restaurant in the 1930s. Equally famous and tempting is the lovely seafood served here, fresh from the seas surrounding Cuba. Ernest Hemingway was one of the famous patrons of this bar. A life-size statue of the poet has also been kept in this restaurant. Step in to notice that the environment of the bar has not changed much for the last 60 odd years.
