La Guarida, Havana Reviews
Absolutely gorgeous spot for a swanky dinner. We came here for my friend's birthday dinner while we were in Havana, and it was superb. The entryway to this place is breathtaking. There's a huge mural on the staircase and the atmosphere feels very old-world. We were able to get a table on the roof, and the setup was so elegant. It really felt like a fine dining experience. The prices are kind of like NY prices, expensive for Havana but not outrageous. I got the roasted chicken and it fell off the bone. My friends also loved the dishes they ordered. It made our first night in Cuba extremely special. I will def come back next time were here.
Had the most amazing dinner here while visiting Havana. The service was excellent as was the lobster. Can't wait to return. The tacos were also delicious!
Rustic beauty. Its a three story walk up. Be prepared. But it's worth it. The lobster was too die for. The shredded beef was amazing and so flavorful. Ask to sit on their balcony or visit the bar on the roof. Inexpensive as well.
Fantastic upscale food. They have fixed up a large part of a building built in 1913 that must have been spectacular when in was new. The restaurant is on the third floor of the building so you have to be able walk up three flights of steps of rustic grandeur. The food was sophisticated and delicate. My only negative was the chair I sat in was uncomfortably upright and a tad small. Reservations are a must to get in. We took a $10 cab from the hotel National. We ended up walking back via the malacon. Probably a 15 minute romantic walk back at sunset. Very scenic. The neighborhood is rundown but the people were very friendly.
Excellent restaurant located in Havana in a renovated building. The building itself is filled with so much character, it’s perfect for picture taking. The food was good. I was a little disappointed I did not get to try to guava mousse but I still enjoyed the overall ambiance!
