The Haverstraw Brick Museum Inc is a brick-built monument tucked amid the surrounding stores and commemorates the 1906 landslide incident that claimed the lives of 19 town people. It pays homage to the people who lost their lives in that disaster and their grieved families. Inside the museum, you will see the famous “Wall of Bricks” that has colourful brick cubes bearing the name of the famous people in different patterns. Another section bears the engraved names of the victims on the bricks to pay tribute to them. A few ashtray bricks from that incident are also on display at Haverstraw Brick Museum Inc along with some daily use tea-sets. The Gift shop will offer you chocolate bricks, books, postcards, shirts and more.
