Johannes Forsamling is an impressive church in Helsinki, also known as St John’s Church. Built between 1888 and 1891, the church showcases the Gothic Revival style of architecture. With a total of 2,600 seats, it is the largest stone church in Finland by seating capacity. This Lutheran Church was designed by the Swedish architect Adolf Melander and has two twin towers that stand tall at a height of 74 meters. With excellent acoustics, the church is a popular venue to host big concerts, events, and services. Walking at the altarpiece of the church, you will be able to see Saul’s conversion as well as a painting called ‘A Divine Revelation’ by Eero Järnefelt.
