The Museum of Contemporary art in Helsinki is a paradise for the art lover. With over 8000 modern works of art on display it is certainly a wonderful museum to visit. Most of the art work has been done by Finnish artists but you will see a few international artists as well.
It isn’t just paintings but sculptures, figurines and other abstract arts that make the museum so interesting to explore. Some of the artwork is bold and big while there are also subtler, referential works of art on display. In short, there is a wide variety of contemporary art that has been exhibited at the museum. It will be a good idea to spend a couple of hours on exploring it all.
There is also a contemporary art theatre where lively performances take place. It makes sense to catch a show to understand contemporary theatre even more.

Museum Of Contemporary Art Kiasma, Helsinki Reviews - Write a Review
Did not go onto the museum because only had 30 min to spare and cost euro 12 each. But looked very good and had an excellent cafe. Building itself is very modern and stylish.
Modern, spacious, well organized. Some piece of arts are "quite not there" as they seem to be made by a try hard art student, but I like that they experiment fresh and risky ideas all the time. The building is a state of art and worth a visiting itself.
I'm in general not a big fan of modern art, but I often visit museums of modern art. This museum has rather obscure 'art'. It is progressive, and in my opinion a bit too progressive, the point where I don't consider it art anymore.
Great museum in the centre of Helsinki. Super modern and easy to navigate. Lots of exhibitions that will keep you occupied for hours. It's free to enter on the first Friday of every month.
Very nice museum with good exhibitions. Many families watching movies there. Free with museum card.
