Hemis National Park, Hemis Reviews
Good food. Could be better. For high altitude things don't cook properly, but they still manage to put nice meals.
The area was Pangong heritage camp site and situated beside the blue lake. Beautiful scenery. Food served was also good but vegetarian only.
Hemis National Park, Globally famous for It's snow leopards, it is believed to have the highest density of them in any protected area in the world. It is the only national park in India that is north of The Himalayas, the largest notified protected area in India. The park is home to a number of species of endangered mammals, including the snow leopard.
One of the largest national park..It is in Ladakh..Good place to find Ibex, snow leopard,Marmots..At an average altitude above 10000 feet..it is covered with Snow..It is unexplored at many places and provide ideal trekking and mountaineering opportunities... Pristine and clear streams flow here..Be prepared and get acclimatize before coming here... Very scanty population present inside it...
A serene, peaceful, chilled natural environment, away from the city, at the roof of the world, in the lap of the great Himalayas. The hemis monastery, one of the oldest monasteries of this region forms the centre of this place. Such peaceful environment.
