  • I really want to give 5 stars I do, the staff are amazing and friendly. Overall it's a good place to visit with many species on display including the ability to get up close and touch the sea turtles out the back. The reason I can't give 5 stars as much as I want to is that the place is dated, I know they suffered a lot of damage during flooding in past years but the place needs a lot of love. I would go there again as my daughter loves it and I find it interesting.

  • Is a fun place that shows a bit of local history as it's been operating for decades. I recall reading it was once the largest fresh sea salt water aquarium in Australia. If go in expecting to see local marine life and lots of marine knowledge displays, you won't be disappointed.

  • So, it's relatively expensive and not so well maintained, but I really enjoyed my time here. Taking the time to watch a seastar walk around it's tank, or to pat and feed the turtles was uniquely rewarding. Not the same as one of the big aquariums, still worth a visit. Turtle feeding at 10am was great. Shark feeding at 2:30pm

  • Interesting displays of local fish species - note mostly LOCAL fish so don't expect super-colourful corals etc, it's more realistic. Your ticket allows you entry for the day, come and go as you please, this was handy to leave the complex for lunch/picnic/playground and return later at feeding time. Hand-feed sea-turtles at 11am, then sharks & other fish at 2:30pm. (If can't attend both then the 2:30pm feed is best as turtles get involved then too). A little run-down in ways (signage etc) but still value for money at $20/adult and $10/child. Kids loved the interaction. (There is a cafe on site but didn't eat there so can't comment.)

  • Fantastic local place. Lots of knowledgeable staff. Got close to turtles. Even fed them.
