It's awful! I was under the impression that it was informative and about conservation and education however I was horrified walking through the museum- it's all entirely based on Vic Hislop's hatred of these creatures! The graphic images of dead people are unnecessary and unnerving. Will never go back or recommend this to anyone.
I loved the show and found it highly informative when I went there with my mum and dad when he was alive. Yes, there's a bit of a smell to the place, but no more so than walking into any aquarium or fish market. That's what sharks are - fish. When we went, there were really big sharks on display in freezers - so cool! Incredible to see these man eaters up so close without fear of being eaten or encouraging living ones to get closer to man to satisfy our curiosity of these creatures. A great place to satisfy your curiosity and see one of these monsters up close. The video was informative about whale behaviour and why they beach themselves. I also learned that some sharks hunt in packs and that didn't surprise me as animal's behavior is evolving. With all the shark attacks there have been lately, maybe a few of those big ones need to be removed again. Obviously the hippie approach of do nothing, but abuse everyone who has a different opinion does not solve the problem of all the recent shark incedents. It has done nothing to save human lives. Nothing wrong with culling the really big threats 3-6 meter sharks from our oceans when they come too close to shore. I see swimming/surfing distance from shore as an extention of land. If a shark comes into that part of our domain, you can't reason with these creatures. They belong in the deep, but climate change might be one reason why they're coming closer to land? Good show, and thank you Vic for once having been able to keep our shores a safer place. I'll be bringing my children back here someday to see the show! All my best.
Absolutly repulsing! Dont go
Wife and I went there 24th Jan 2015, the first time we went was around 25yrs ago, same shark in cooler, the smell was soooo bad, nearly threw up could only stay for minutes, he is a man with an unnatural hate for sharks, that's their home not ours, last time I checked I didn't have gills, and sharks are there for a reason.
