With an abundance of natural beauty, Seven Falls State Park is a great place to plan a picnic with family. The park is located just off the highway and is thus, easily accessible. There are many beautiful trails around the park that offer a tour of the incredible landscape. Take a hike to the park and you will be able to see the rock formation.
The park is in close proximity with the Seven Falls, which is a group of seven small waterfalls with varying heights. Although this is a small park, it is popular among the locals and the tourists.

Seven Falls State Park Reviews & Ratings
Great place for a small day trip. Beautiful scenery and really a relaxing area. I would recommend this to all ages.
Just visited. Needs a lot of TLC. We used to come for picnics and jumping on the rocks but I was very disappointed in the shape it is now. The gates were up at the parking area and the parking area wasn't taken care of. Very disappointed. Hopefully if we go again it will be in better shape.
I like this spot for a nice hike on the Mattabessett Trail or a relaxing time jumping around the rocks and enjoying the water. Parking is abundant and comfortable and it's conveniently located off of Rt.9 exit 10 going like a half mile south on Old Saybrook Rd. They have picnic tables and punlic grills but I've never used them. They could use a trash can or two; there's always a bottle here and there which means people are pigs but also means there's no trash cans.
Great hike. 7.5 hrs for us
This park is super quiet, very clean and the river is beautiful the crystal clear water that one can bathe the only thing is that you have to walk between the stones with great caution is very good to meditate.
