  • Lovely gardens in traditional Japanese and Zen styles there seems to be about 13 sections all differently laid out and styled. Beautiful colours and use of water and stone. Also good restaurant in centre. As others say buy combo ticket and allow 1 to 2 hours.

  • Beautiful garden built in 1992. Made of more than 10 small gardens exploring the Japanese flora. Inside there is a Teahouse. For 5 dollars you can experience tea and sweet in a traditional style

  • I have never seen such a beautiful and well designed garden in my life. Japanese Zen gardens are truly one of a kind. I'm sure there might be better ones out there but this one is top notch. It's quite hot in summer to enjoy it (July) but at least the plants are in full bloom, I expect autumn to be even more beautiful and enjoyable (Sep to Nov). Buy it with the Himeji castle ticket to get a huge discount (less than 100 yen)!

  • This garden is actually a succession of multiple gardens, with a main amazing garden with a beautiful pond and bridges offering different angles for your senses to enjoy. Then follows a series of walled gardens, each focusing on a certain theme. This place offers various adaptations of what is so enjoyable with Japanese gardens. A must see in Himeji!

  • Traditional Japanese garden... Best time to visit park is cherry blossoms... Beautiful garden .. must go.. if u visiting himeji castle then u can buy combo from from castle and visit this park for 40yen.. 10 min walking from castle
