Kokoen Garden, Himeji Reviews
Not a huge garden, divided into many mini gardens, each made in different style. Standing somewhat in the shadow ( figuratively) of Himeji castle, it's a very worthwhile stop to rest after climbing all the stairs in the castle. To save money get a combo ticket of garden plus castle
One of the great things about Japan is how well they do gardens. If you are a garden aficionado then you must visit this. If you aren't a fan of Japanese gardens you can give this a miss.
Worth the visit if you’re going to Himeji anyway, entrance fee is basically waived if you buy the Himeji ticket. Very beautiful serene garden that seems to never end.
Japanese garden as its best. A beautiful garden, which is actually more than 13 different little gardens. Each has a different theme and more beautiful than the others, can not tell which one is the most beautiful.
An absolutely superb set of gardens just past Himejijo. Beautiful in both the spring and autumn, and much quieter than the castle grounds.
