Finger Lakes National Forest Reviews & Ratings
This area is one of the more beautiful places I have ever been!! From the mountains to the lakes. All the great little small towns. So many great restaurants and cafes! The vineyards are everywhere!! The roads are great and well maintained!! I can’t wait to come visit again!! This is at the top of my list of places to go!!!
Hiking this trail was a life changing experience. The countryside was beautiful. I am very grateful for having hiked 450 miles of the trail. Seeing animals and hearing the many different birds.💜💜🙋
Worth visiting if you plan on exploring the surrounding area and prefer camping to a B&B/motel. As far as wild area's go, it's not very remote or wild. Lots of housing, fields and pastures mixed in and around. There are some nice, quiet camping cites available. Served us well as a base camp as we visited the lakes, towns and parks in the surrounding area.
It is nextdoor to me and we enjoy the wildlife that come to visit us when they are coming to raise their young. Or the many that stay and make up our area.
Amazing nature! And great staff! Park Ranger Jim and a younger gentleman were extremely helpful and knowledgeable!!! A great experience in every way!!!!
