Wondering where to take your kids while in Hiroshima? Well, head over to the Children’s Museum and watch your kids have a time of their life! The museum opened in 1980 and apart from the actual museum, it also has a planetarium and a library. There are two floors of activities for kids to enjoy while learning about science. At the science discovery area, kids learn about gravity, electric currents, train engines and a lot more. There is a maze that kids can climb through and access the second floor or gleefully slide down a slide at to get back to the first floor. The best part? It is free!

  • Very engaging two-story museum. There is a climbing area where kids can play and climb through a series of tunnels to the second floor. Everything is hands on so your kids will enjoy trying all the experiments. There is a steam train outside that kids can climb. The museum is free and the Planetarium is very reasonably priced.

  • This remains one of my favourite museums with the balance of technology, testimony and artefacts. Unfortunately, they were undertaking significant upgrades during my visit but I look forward to visiting again.

  • The children's maze is great for the kids to explore!

  • Absolutely awesome. My 4 yo daughter loved it

  • Good to spend an hour or two with kids. Free entrance. Planetarium / movies are being charged for and are Japanese language only.
