History coupled with some new information. That's Riskakirke for you. Situated in the village of Hommersak in the borough of Riska this church is part of the Sandnes parish in the Sandnes deanery in the Diocese of Stavanger. This church was built in 1877 by architect Hans low. It seats around 200 people. But after people thronged in, the church became too small for the parish. Later in 1999, the old church retired from regular service when the new Riska church was completed. But the old Riska Kirke is still a beacon of humanity and spirituality and stands tall. Whenever you are in Norway, never fail to visit this place of historical importance.
