Ho Chi Minh (formerly Saigon) as the city is still frequently referred to be Vietnam's largest city. It is a fast-paced city full of contrasts as street vendors selling fruit and vegetables can be seen next to glitzy western-style bars and boutiques. Saigon's history is only 300 years old. In 1859 the city was captured by the French and became the capital of Cochin China. From 1956 until its dramatic demise in April 1975 it was the capital of the US-backed Republic of Vietnam. Today, Ho Chi Minh City is very much the heart of Vietnamese business and entrepreneurs.

This is a great mall in Ho Chi Minh City! It's very large with many international brands and stores. The mall was clean, cool and inviting! I enjoyed walking around here doing some shopping and once I was done, the food floor has some fantastic dining options. The mall can get crowded on the weekend, but not so bad that you can't enjoy yourself. Definitely worth a visit!
Lots of stuff here. Many brands have their factories in Vietnam. Not sure if I bought a copy or not. But the outdoor jacket served extremely well. I used it up on hiking tours and skiing. So even if it's a copy, it's an excellent good copy.
Very clean and free toilets to use! Expensive high-end shops. Fun to explore while it's a rainy day. Good coffee upstairs.
Nice new mall. Modern shops with food hall on top. Good way to escape the heat for a short time.
high end shopping mall, next to Saigon Square. there is Takashimaya with supermarket and a lot of food stalls in B2 floor. can see a lot of branded shops here.
