The Hausmannsturm in Dresden Castle dates back to 1400 and is among the oldest surviving strongholds of the main structure. Standing 100.27 metres, this octagonal structure has a Welsh Dome covered with copper and the open lantern. One of the striking features of Hausmann Sturm is the enormous Lock Clock that has a 7 metre long pendulum and the 6 metre tall Weathervane. You should enter through the west wing where you will need to climb 222 stairs to reach the observation deck that stands at a height of 38.62 metres and offers sweeping view of the city.
