Blue Coral Diving, Hoi An Reviews
Had a wonderful day out on the boat. Amazing diving seeing soft coral for the first time. Only my 5th dive and the whole team was very supportive. Excellent setup for diving and my partner was able to come out on the boat and snorkel.
I have dived before in tropical places but this was the most professional and passionate staff I have ever been around! I got Open Water PADI Certified and my instructor Dan Kajet was so awesome! He has 20 years experience as a diver and was patient and knowledgeable. I couldn't have asked for a better instructor, he had a good vibe and was very kind. The time an attention he spent on me making sure I knew what I was doing so I was safe in the water was amazing! If you are looking for a dive instructor call these guys and as for Dan to teach you. This company isn't just trying to capitalize on tourism. The entire staff is very experienced and are long-time divers who are passionate about it. They really enjoy sharing their love of diving with others. I did a lot of research and I knew this was the best place to go and I was right!
I did four dives in two days there in August 2016. We dove at three different sites around the Cham Islands. The overall experience was great! The gear which was provided was in excellent condition and my dive guide was very experienced, friendly, funny and very proficient in English. The two days consisted in: pickup from the hotel in the morning, boat ride to the two dive sites, lunch and dinner at the beach of the biggest Cham Island, overnight stay in at tent on the beach, pickup in the morning by boat, two dives, lunch, boat ride back to the port, transfer to our hotel. There were only two minor drawbacks. During one dive visibility was not great, which can be always be an issue while diving in Vietnam. For the overnight stay on the island I would book a homestay the next time around. The beach where we stayed in the tent was public, which meant various disturbances during the night. As a conclusion I can only recommend the dive center and the Cham Islands for diving.
Worst Dive Ever! But just partly due to the Diving Center: Of course the Center cannot control the Diving conditions but in my opinion they should have cancelled the dive on this day or at least inform the participants about the worse conditions. It was just cloudy with rain, the visibility under water more than bad and the water incredibly cold. I and every buddy even cancelled the second dive this day. And then they stopped on the beach side for 2h even obviously nobody was interested in staying there this long due to the bad weather. Positively I have to say that the lunch was delicious, the boat and diving equipment in a good condition. But in general Diving in Vietnam is not recommendable.
Fun diving, well-organized , hotel picking up and helpful instructors. Would come back for sure
