There is a great story about the World’s Largest Six Pack in La Crosse, Wisconsin. It was originally built as storage tanks by the G. Heileman Brewing Company Old Style brewery. But later the brewery shut down and the next owners saw the resemblance of the tanks with beer cans and painted them likewise, which became a global phenomenon as a postcard from La Crosse featured this landmark. After another change of hands, it’s been repainted again, albeit with wallpaper this time. But something’s better than nothing. The place also features a giant statue of Gambrinus, the king of beer.
