Eskdale Mill is located in the tiny community of Boot - a real crown piece set in one of Lakeland’s most beautiful valleys. Still boasting its historic working machinery, the Mill is one of the oldest water-powered corn mills in England and is now the last remaining working mill in the Lake District. This historic building is a bright flame of a fading heritage. The milestones found around the site and laid on the floor are estimated to represent at least 700 years of historical record. Eskdale is a walker’s paradise, known for its outstanding beauty, where the streams from England's highest mountains get confluence with the sea at Ravenglass. A nature lover must fancy paying a visit here if touring the United Kingdom.
